Michelle Donice Gillis often says that yoga saved her life! She began practicing yoga at a time when she desperately needed to get out of her head and into her body. The meditative, physical, and oftentimes spiritual aspects of the practice taught her to be more loving and patient with others and, most importantly, with herself.
Michelle loves sharing this practice with others so that they, too, can reap the benefits. Her passion is trauma-informed yoga because she loves seeing others awaken to the possibility that is their lives!
Michelle completed her RYT 200-hr training with Epic Yoga and Advanced Training with Sid and Liz McNairy of Nahi Wellness. Currently, Michelle teaches in the community at BrightQuest, Vanderbilt, The Collective, and Walnut Academy.
In addition to teaching yoga, Michelle is an English teacher at Hume-Fogg Academic High School. She also writes under the pen name Michelle Donice.
