Lauren Colliau

Lauren found yoga her senior year of high school as a way to increase flexibility for soccer. Little did she know, it came at the perfect time and she fell in love with the practice. After soccer ended and she looked forward to college, she needed a new passion in life. She was able to carry over her practice into College at Ole Miss.

The time she spent on her mat has always been a safe place that is dedicated to herself. The purpose of yoga in her life has changed over the last 4 years and she loves being able to start new every time she gets on her mat. There is no competition and she gets to watch her own body and mind grow.

She fell into the world of Baptiste yoga unknowingly as the studio where she practiced in her hometown of Austin, TX is a Baptiste affiliate studio. Again, unknowingly her studio in college was as well. As she continued to go to classes and her practice grew, she knew she wanted to become a teacher and share this transformative practice with others. She completed her 200-hour certification in January 2021 and is in the process of working toward her 300- hour certification.

“As a teacher I love watching students grow in their practice, learn to take the practice with them off the mat, and develop a deeper connection within themselves.”
