In 1996, Heidi took her first yoga class with Jivamukti yoga instructor, Nancy LaNasa in Nancy’s dining room in Pensacola, FL and was hooked. Her practice was consistent until she moved to Nashville in 2006. In 2008, as fate would have it, Heidi met Liz Veyhl through work and through their love of running and yoga the two became fast friends.
In 2010, supporting Liz as a new Baptiste power yoga teacher, Heidi attended Liz’s first class and instantly experienced a renewed love for yoga. Heidi took her love a step further in 2017 and signed up for Baptiste Power Yoga Level 1: Journey Into Power teacher training. She has since completed additional trainings with the Baptiste Institute and Baptiste Power Yoga Nashville and is now a 300-hour certified Baptiste Power Yoga Leader and a 500 Hour RYT.
Heidi is passionate about making yoga accessible for “every” body and making every mat a safe space. Her intention is that her classes are nurturing yet challenging and creates an environment for each student to explore and expand within their own body and soul.
When not teaching yoga, Heidi fervently advocates to break the stigma associated with substance use and mental health disorders. She believes we are all recovering from something. She lives in East Nashville with her chihuahua, Buddy.
