Annie wandered into her first yoga class in 2012 after looking for a way to reclaim her body and to decompress from her hectic schedule. The discipline and repetition of the Bikram Yoga sequence allowed her to shut out the outside, and it quickly became her safe haven.
After moving to Nashville, Annie sought out a home yoga studio and began exploring other styles. She completed her Hot 26 style 200hr training in 2016 followed by a Power Vinyasa 200-hr training in 2017.
An educator at heart, Annie loves looking for different ways to break down poses, cueing using “real world” speak (I.e. grilled cheese), and working with children. She firmly believes this practice is for anyBODY.
Annie has taught at Gilda’s Club of Middle Tennessee and Music City’s International Day of Yoga. She teaches at the SWY Community Studio on on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM.
