Your feet are the foundation of your practice. There are 26 bones, 33 joints and over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments in each foot. The bones of the foot need to be able to articulate with each other for proper gait. The arches in the foot need to adaptable, not too high or too low. Often times due to injury and misuse the joints in the foot can become stiff and the arches become locked into a pattern. This causes foot problems like plantar fasciitis and bunions but can also lead to knee, hip and low back pain.
In this workshop we will use subtle movements and awareness to help balance the feet. You will leave feeling like you’re using your feet in a more effective way for both yoga and regular life.
