We can’t wait for yoga at @metroschools to start back up this year! If you’re interested in teaching yoga in schools, email us at info@smallworldyoga.org 🧘‍♀️ Here’s a reminder of WHY we teach in schools! Teaching kids’ yoga has reminded me how much of our silliness and fearlessness we lose over the years, and how our yoga practice is a way to bring that back. And as a teacher, I’ve learned to be adaptable, spontaneous, and, most importantly, what sound a butterfly makes 😉 at least according to a bunch of kindergartners! . Introducing yoga to young kids is a fantastic exercise in not taking yourself too seriously. Kids bring their personalities into the practice with animal noises, uncontrollable laughter, and so, so much energy! It’s not about getting it right, about landing a perfectly executed pose in a tiny body—it’s about getting kids engaged and aware of their bodies, of exploring something new. – @sarahellisyoga #swy #SmallWorldYoga #nashvilleyoga #kidsyoga #yogainschools
