#TBT If you missed this class with Erika, she is teaching another donation flow on OCT 27 @ 3p @shaktipoweryoga Donations will go towards@ywbcaf / @metavivor / @thepinkfund #Repost @erikagrowingrich So grateful for a community that continues to support and show up for others! I dusted off my teaching cob webs with grace for myself and a new voice to raise awareness about #breastcancer & share my journey to inspire others. Tonight was my first night back to teaching in a studio (& being 500hr RYT ??) since I was diagnosed and it’s been a whirlwind of emotions and nerves that I spent the day turning into excitement for a new chapter #mindtricks . One question everyone always asks me is “What do I say to someone who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer?” The answer is simple: “Do you want to do yoga with me?” . This month I encourage you to invite others going through chemo or breast cancer to get on their mats. It made a huge positive impact in my recovery & staying in tune with my body while it was going through so much. While yoga studios can be full of germs for those going through chemo, there are so many online classes you & someone going through BC can do together or even asking a teacher if they’d be willing to donate their time to teach somewhere germ safe! Hospitals typically have free yoga classes for patients – ask if their hospital does and go with them! Even if they’re not able to flow through a practice due to chemo/radiation/surgery side effects, they can breath on their mats – that’s yoga too & the greatest gift/help you can give! Thank you for having me @smallworldyoga – my heart is so full!! ? #breastcancerawareness #stage4breastcancer #erikastrong #SWY #SmallWorldYoga #NashvilleYoga
