Reason #4: We do it for the kids! Who doesn’t love kids yoga? Not only does it promote mind-body awareness, but it gets kids (and us!) moving! SWY teachers provide classes in and outside of school for students in low-income areas and high-risk situations. Looking forward, SWY wants to create opportunities for students to become active participants in connecting their community to yoga. With this grant money, we plan to develop a yoga certification program targeted to students with diverse backgrounds.
